This turbot  captures a fraction of the unique form of these fascinating fish. Printed in blue and gold acrylic ink, the artwork has a soft iridescence that shifts beautifully in the light, evoking the shimmer of the sea.

Each print is made on richly textured Thai mulberry paper, enhancing its tactile quality. The hand-torn edges are intentionally preserved and best displayed float mounted to showcase the natural deckle edge for a clean, gallery-style presentation.  

Part of my mini series of coastal wall art prints, this piece continues my exploration of Gyotaku-inspired art—a reinterpretation of the traditional Japanese printing method once used by fishermen to record their catch. Rather than focusing on realism, these prints celebrate form, texture, and movement, offering a contemporary take on marine-inspired art.
