This bladderwrack print is printed in blue and gold acrylic ink, the artwork has a soft iridescence that shifts beautifully in the light, evoking the shimmer of the sea.  I've been totally blown away by seaweeds lately, they are such a key part of a sustainable marine environment.  This bladderwrack was gathered from the waters edge of the Menai Strait, Anglesey on my morning dog walk.  Poo bags have other uses!

Each print is made on richly textured Thai mulberry paper, enhancing its tactile quality. The hand-torn edges are intentionally preserved and best displayed float mounted to showcase the natural deckle edge for a clean, gallery-style presentation.

Part of my mini series of coastal wall art prints, this piece continues my exploration of Gyotaku-inspired art—a reinterpretation of the traditional Japanese printing method once used by fishermen to record their catch. Rather than focusing on realism, these prints celebrate form, texture, and movement, offering a contemporary take on marine-inspired art.

Display it individually or pair it with other mini prints to curate your own coastal collection.
