Gyotaku of John Dory on Hand made Thai Mulberry Paper

This is a large John Dory gifted to me some time ago.  Here I've used a high quality acrylic ink which is both light fast and permanent.  The paper is raw, hand made, Thai mulberry paper and is around 70cm x 50cm.

In fact my fish come from various sources but are not caught by me as I’m a pretty hopeless fisherman! The Dory came from Brixham in Devon and was sent to me with other fish as by-product of fish processing.  

The print has been backed with two sheets of Japanese masa paper.  It’s stamped with my Hanko and signed by me too.
