This handmade [subject] print captures the [describe subject briefly – e.g., elegant movement / delicate texture / unique form] of this [marine/coastal/natural] subject. Printed in blue and gold acrylic ink, the artwork features a subtle iridescence that catches and reflects the light beautifully, echoing the shimmer of the sea.
Each piece is created on richly textured Thai mulberry paper, enhancing its depth and character. The hand-torn edges are intentionally preserved and best displayed float mounted, allowing the natural deckle edge to be fully appreciated.
Part of my mini series of coastal wall art prints, this work continues my exploration of Gyotaku-inspired art—a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Japanese fish printing method. Rather than documenting a catch, these prints focus on form, texture, and abstraction, celebrating the beauty of marine life in a modern context.
