This handmade Sycamore Seed print captures the quiet elegance of nature through an impression of these textured seed pods. The artwork focuses on the delicate texture, and structure of the pods, inviting close observation of their fine details.

Printed in black acrylic ink on richly textured Thai mulberry paper, the feather’s form is beautifully contrasted against the paper’s natural fibres. The hand-torn edges are designed to be float mounted, allowing the organic deckle edge to remain visible — adding depth and a refined, gallery-quality finish.

Part of my mini series of Gyotaku-inspired wall art prints, this piece continues my exploration of natural forms and textures through traditional printing techniques reimagined in a contemporary way. Each print is hand-pulled, making every impression unique.
