Collection: LINO CUT MEETS GYOTAKU
A recent exploration for me is working with lino cut in the same way I would fish. Essentially the work is created exactly as a Gyotaku would be but instead of using an actual fish, I've made lino cuts that are the same shape and size as the fish I'm looking to represent. This will allow me a totally different way to work and continue my exploration into colour and composition. I'm still laying out the prints by hand and printing the fish one by one as I would with Gyotaku. I still hand paint the eyes in and wet mount the work.
